Haus Mendelssohn, Residential and Office Building. 1st Prize, Architectural Design Competition | The Forms As More-Precise-of-Itself IΙ

The architectural competition, further to the reclamation of the historic building (once housing a Third Reich vault), aims at the reshaping of its main elevation through the addition of one floor and the dramatic increase of the useful area of the building.

The lines of the past, the alignments with these lines, are readable in every detail; they are visible, also, on the minimal profiles and the delicate surfaces of the technological/structural elements.
