Abstract Full text
The paper attempts to define the retaining-of-thought-mechanism activated today in architectural design in the light of digital writing. The rendering of thought in written form does not aim any longer to accurately reproduce it, but is the result of the interconnections of the available information elements that somehow relate with it. As a result, the architectural design is described as a transcription mechanism of the already available digital items, both iconic and verbal, which are collected in advance, exctracted from a customized and digitalized information continuum. The end of transcriptions is equivalent to the end of design to such a degree that the work of architecture cannot be separated from the digital environment of transcriptions flow, without eventually taking into consideration the location of the work of architecture in the real locus.
Key terms: architectural design, writing, transcription, information, locus.
